Well I've been thinking for a while about converging with another forum. However I was wanting to start a new forum. So what we would go is come up with a name for the two forums to have and create a new forum. Yes, starting with zero posts and a few members. We could keep all of the themes we wanted but just get a new banner or put a new name on the banner. I've asked Firestrife and we decided to ask the other staff. Please tell us your thoughts and vote in the poll. Thanks! Btw, the forum I want to converge with is http://s1.zetaboards.com/Cosmic_Gaming/index/. Well, 0 posts sounds like an annoyance, but I'll support you with whatever you want to do. Just remember that you will no longer be able to use the domain or have the Zeta Premium. You could always move to phpBB3 like you discussed recently or SMF even. That way you can use that robot converter to convert the posts from both forums, so we don't start on 0 and we'll have the added security of being on a self-host. Just a thought. Though considering Cosmic Gaming doesn't really match us in posts or activity, it doesn't really seem like there are many positives from merging with them. Having said that, I'm not really sure about the activity levels of Awesome Nintendo and *insert other forum name here* when they merged to create this site though. So yeah, up to you. I'll support you guys with whatever decision you make. |

 You guys sure are making this hard for me. Firestrife basically said the same thing. I guess I'll think about it some more. The main benefit I saw was .Xstinct who makes amazing graphics and themes and we could give Firestrife a break about making a new skin. Like the skins here: http://forum.xbotica.com/index/ They also have some great people doing reviews over games, and we don't. But yeah, their 2,000 posts compared to our 13,800 posts is a HUGE difference. We will not be converging but we will be switching over to MyBB. We need a $3 donation to buy a theme, though.  Firestrife and I have decided against keeping members, posts, etc as we'd like to start over completely. We would like to keep the staff that would like to stay on staff if you don't want to, I know that most of you guys are busy. We do not know when we will be telling the whole community or when we will switch. Also, do you guys like this: http://demo.zynge.net/ (crisp) as a default theme? |

I'm not really a fan of the skin. The grey is pretty dull and uninteresting, but that's just my view. |

It's a substitute skin. Better than the default; lol. I put it there so I didn't feel like I wasn't doing anything. I also have to get a feel for the CSS layout. About the domain: I own it. I can put it on there if I need to, but I don't think I'll use the subdomain again because it causes integration problems :/. I know this is a big thing...I'm not sure if starting from scratch is hurting or helping us. But I have a few new ideas that may also help us out. We should offer more to our members. I'll discuss it some with Logan to see what he thinks, then bring it here. |

Well, starting from 0 probably is more of a hindrance than a plus, simply because it doesn't show the activity level we actually have. At least if you convert some topics, we have something for new and old members to post and reply to. But yeah, I probably wouldn't bother converting the members though. It's not really that difficult to re-register. |

One of the ideas firestrife and i have is that you can actually buy a video game of your choice from us once you reach a certain amount of gaming dollars. It'd be like you make a thousand posts or something possible but hard. And yeah, I'll bring some popular topics from our forum and others over so the members have something to reply to. |

MyBB is doing great so far. I'm sure that it'll be much better than this ZB forum, also... I can set up Search Engine Integration so that we get more hits from Google in the end. |
